LOCAL AMENITIES IN LEVERICK BAY
The Chef's Pantry	Just a 5 minute walk from the villa. Stocks a wide variety of groceries, fresh bread and cakes daily, fruit and vegetables, meat, fresh local fish, wine, beer and spirits. Open 7 days/week.
Dive BVI	Selling scuba diving and snorkeling equipment. Dive BVI runs a variety of scuba diving day trips and courses around the islands.
Beauty Spa	A beauty parlor with sauna, whirlpool and beauty treatments.
Laundromat	Open 24 hours/day.
Other shops	A variety of boutiques selling tropical clothing, sportswear, jewellery, handicrafts, artwork and gifts.
Tennis court	A court is available for the use of guests. Pre-booking recommended. Racquets and balls can be rented from the Leverick Bay Marina office.
Large fresh water swimming pool	Villa guests are welcome to enjoy this facility in addition to the pool at the villa.

Shops	Shops include Grocery Stores, Bakery, Pharmacy, Photography Store, Dive Shop, Bank with ATM machine, Laundromat, Gift & Clothing Boutiques and Sailing Chandlery with internet facilities.

Car Rentals & Taxis	Car rentals are available from agencies in Spanish Town. Pre-booking of a vehicle is advisable. Free pick-up at the airport or ferry terminal is available. A temporary BVI driving licence is required – available at the car rental agency with a valid driving licence from another country (cost US$10.00). Driving is on the left-hand side of the road. Taxis offer service anywhere on the island. Pre-arranged pick-up from the beaches and shops is readily available. Taxis are not metered but there are official rates for journeys. We recommend that you agree your fare beforehand.
Medical	No vaccination certificates are required to visit the British Virgin Islands. There are 2 medical clinics on Virgin Gorda staffed by nurses – one in Gun Creek, a 5 minute drive from the villa, and another in Spanish Town, 25 minutes by car or taxi. There is a public hospital on the main island, Tortola, (8 miles by boat from Virgin Gorda), which has medical, surgical, X-ray and laboratory facilities and in addition a private medical centre staffed by family physicians and specialists. There are no dangerous animals, spiders or snakes in the British Virgin Islands. Mosquitoes are usually kept at bay by the trade wind breezes but insect repellent is recommended for calm, still evenings.
Passports	Visitors require a valid passport for entry into the British Virgin Islands. Canadian and US citizens do not require a visa, but visitors from some countries may need a visa in addition to a passport for entry. There is a US$15.00 departure tax and a US$5.00 security tax levied per person at the airport.
