Although Virgin Gorda and the small islands around North Sound offer plenty to explore, you might still be curious about some of the other British Virgin Islands.

Anegada, the most remote island of the group, is a reef rather than the result of volcanic eruptions as are the rest of the islands. Anegada can be reached and explored on a day trip – but do allow a full day for it. Various sailing boats and water taxis leave from North Sound to take visitors for snorkeling, fishing or land-exploring trips to Anegada. Inquire with the sailing charters on Spice and at The Bitter End Yacht Club.

Tortola is the biggest of the BVI, and is home to the islands’ capital, Road Town. Speedy's ferry runs several times daily from Spanish Town on Virgin Gorda to Road Town, where you can explore the shops, eateries and harbour. Alternatively, take an open air taxi around the island. The North Sound Express also runs from Leverick Bay to Tortola’s airport, from which you can take a taxi to explore Tortola.

The Dog Islands are a small group of uninhabited islands mid-way between Virgin Gorda and Tortola. They are known for their diving and snorkeling, and have some gorgeous beaches. Rent a boat to get to them or inquire with one of the dive companies about going on one of their trips.
